Weirdest Inspiration (A Question)

Greetings all,

As long as I am exploring the creative process I thought I would ask: What is the strangest place or object that has ever prompted your creativity? I have heard a lot about beautiful trees, calming waters, middle of the night epiphanies, journeys home that evoke memories but I don't mean any of those. (Unless the middle of the night thing was brought on by a dream of fried pickles dancing with shining moths, then maybe.)

I have found some really weird things that jogged my creative side including a broken glass bottle by a fence, bathroom tiles that had a strange pattern, and license plates. What was yours? Do you care to share?

I await your answer,

Jennifer

  1. Jennifer, I love this question! I am always inspired by the shapes I see in clouds. It often leads to stories or poems.
