Halloween haiku!  What lovely alliteration!
If you follow me on Twitter, you've been witness to my attempts at producing horror-themed three-line treasures.  Now, I'm not often successful, but it has certainly been fun.

So, in honor of my favorite holiday, here are more horrifying (take that as you will) poems.

The voice calls to you
Honey promises, forked tongue
Pointed, bloody teeth

Witch works in cold dark
Her pick cracks the frozen pond
The children skate on

The baby is teething
Fingers sucked into its maw
Are an inch shorter

By the dying fire
He tells of haunted houses
A spirit himself

"The monster lurks there."
His thumb indicates the swamp
"But people are worse."

Have a fantastic Halloween everyone!
