Update: Published Works, Medical Problems, Etc.

So... I'm back blogging for now.  Five years of news, words, hopes, and frustrations are hard to let go of.

In other personal news:

I'm going to be seeing a Hematologist because of an odd finding in my blood test and an OB/GYN for a separate (and equally strange) issue.

I won first place (though not the grand prize) in the poetry division of the Pen 2 Paper creative writing contest.
The finalists are available to read online, if you want.

I'm working on flash fiction to enter in Apex Magazine's Annual Flash Fiction Contest.  The topic is Christmas Invasion.  They have had three times more men than women submitting so I should at least jump in the boat to even it out a bit.  It's not coming easy, however.

And the new issue of Star*Line that came out recently houses one of my poems.

Are any of you doing NaNoWriMo or any other writing challenge this month?  Did anything amazing happen for you while I was gone?

  1. Good luck with your health issues, and congrats on first place!

    1. Thank you!
I get more blood drawn in about ten days from now. So, we'll see.

  2. Congratulations on getting your poem published. Big prayers that your health results come out well...or as something that can be fixed fairly easily.

    1. Thanks. These next couple months are going to be busy.

  3. Sorry for the health issues, but congratulations for the poetry win. And good for you for continuing to persist with all you do.
