Looking for Writers to Interview or Guest Post!

The title says it all!
I'm looking to feature other writers on this blog or possibly interview.  If you have an interesting take on a writing topic, want to share how you got an agent, or anything cool or useful in the writing world, contact me!  Letting you know now, this is not for payment.

Want to know more?  Okay.

1. Posts/Interviews must be under 500 words.

2. Posts must have something to do with writing.

3.  I'm willing to feature book excerpts and promotions on a case-by-case basis. (I'd love a giveaway copy with the post.)

4.  You may not use this space to demean, ridicule, or libel (companies or individuals).

5.  I want you to use your voice and wouldn't edit it out but, that being said, I may pass if professionalism is absent.

More questions?  Email me at:  everythingitntales(at)hotmail.com or direct message me on Twitter @jenruthjackson

I want to pay forward with this endeavor.

  1. I don't know if I've mentioned this to you, but have you considered adding the "Share" buttons at the bottom of your posts. You find them on your Blogger set up page. If you had those visitors could easily share your posts via social media with virtually no effort.

I'll go ahead and do a tweet for this.

  2. Just realized that the share widget in your sidebar does the same function, but you still might want to consider the buttons at the end of the post for greater visibility.

    2. What gadget adds the "share" buttons to every post?

  3. For the individual post gadget you go to your layout page and click on "edit" on "Blog Posts". If you go down a bit in the box that pops up there is a place where you can check on the "Show Share Buttons" box and after you've saved that change the share buttons will appear at the end of every post. I use them frequently on posts that I think others might be interested in. And it makes for an easy reminder to visitors that they have the option of sharing the post they just read.

Sometimes I'll just come out and request in my post that visitors click on the share button and I will usually see a definite uptick in shares. I don't do this often though, just on posts where I really have a strong desire for the extra traffic such as guest posts or something extra important to me.

    Hope that helps.
